Radiologist Assistant

Part Time Weekend Radiologist Assistant (6:30am – 2:30pm); vacation/holiday coverage on other days as needed. Pay differential for overnight hours and holidays.

Radiology Assistants (RA’s) facilitate daily workflow for the radiologists by answering incoming calls to the Reading Room at St. Joseph's Hospital  in Tampa, FL and connecting radiologists with other doctors/nurses/hospital staff members at St. Joseph's Hospital along with multiple satellite hospitals and Baycare Outpatient Centers that SDI services. Calls are to be answered in a timely manner and dialed out to the appropriate radiologist or department, as well as triaged based upon clinical urgency when there are multiple lines going at once. RA’s also provide troubleshooting and problem solving at a basic IT level for the radiologists; if troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, then the RA will call in a ticket to the appropriate IT department on the radiologists’ behalf.
