High School Head Coach Volleyball Classical Charter

Job Title: High School Head Coach Volleyball

Location: Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Athletic Director

Work Hours/Days:

Part-Time, Fall Season (August-November) Practice/game days,

Desired Start Date: August 2025

Hourly Wage Range: $3,000.00 one-time payout in November

Position Summary:

Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a High School Volleyball Coach. The ideal candidate will embody high character and professionalism, representing our school community with integrity when interacting with various public groups, including leagues, organizations, schools, and media outlets.

This position collaborates directly with and reports to the Athletic Director.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all activities staff, parents, students, other staff members, and visitors to the school both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of the game of volleyball.
  • Demonstrate the ability to mentor young athletes to improve their skills in the game of volleyball
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive, sport-specific strength and conditioning program
  • Must follow all CHSAA rules and regulations pertaining to the role of a head high school varsity coach
  • Attend all in-season practices and games
  • Should a coach be unable to attend a game or practice, they are to make suitable arrangements in their absence
  • Assist with set up and take down of equipment for practices and games

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous coaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the sport
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of individuals.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Concussion Training or willing to obtain
  • Loyalty to the school and ACACS's mission and vision
  • Commitment to model moral character in line with the school's core virtues
  • Adherence to all ACACS policies, including but not limited to the Employee Handbook, Family Handbook, and all applicable school and board policies

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to traverse the sport complex, field or court
