Full job description

This is a full-time Vascular Surgery medical assistant position, which is a great opportunity for Pre-PA or Pre-Med students who are interested in gaining experience in vascular surgery, the operating room, and perioperative patient care. We are looking for employees with at least a one-year commitment. Our past employees have been successfully accepted to their choice of medical school, nursing school, PA school, and NP schools. Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and scrub in outpatient endovascular procedures.
  • Support pre-operative and post-procedure care, including preparing and setting up surgical and endovascular procedures while maintaining a sterile and organized environment.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care and daily operational tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and patients, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient records, handle insurance paperwork, and answer phone.
  • Request and verify insurance authorization for clinic visit and surgical procedures.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Current Pre-PA or RN student actively pursuing a career in healthcare.
  • Strong interest in surgical specialty, operating room procedures, and outpatient surgical services.
  • Medical assistant experience or certification (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Willing to commit to at least one-year internship for consistent learning and skill development.
