Overview
We seek a passionate and dedicated High School Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves teaching various levels of mathematics, developing curriculum, and supporting students in their academic growth. The Mathematics Teacher will play a crucial role in shaping students' understanding of mathematical concepts and their application in real-world scenarios.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Teach mathematics concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced topics, ensuring comprehension among diverse learners.
• Utilize effective classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning environment.
• Assess student performance through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
• Collaborate with special education staff to accommodate students with diverse learning needs.
• Participate in educational administration tasks, including attending faculty meetings and contributing to school-wide initiatives.
• Design instructional materials that cater to various learning styles and promote critical thinking skills.
• Engage in curriculum development activities to enhance the mathematics program.
• Employ behavior management techniques to maintain discipline and foster respect within the classroom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees are required.
• Mathematics Teaching Certification Required (Texas).
• Proven experience in classroom teaching, with a focus on mathematics education.
• Familiarity with instructional design principles and curriculum development processes.
• Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for inclusive teaching.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
• Experience in higher education teaching is a plus, particularly for advanced mathematics courses.
• Ability to dissect complex mathematical concepts and present them clearly to students of varying skill levels.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
