Accountant

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations. This role is crucial in supporting our growing business by ensuring accurate financial tracking, compliance, and providing insights that inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and inventory records
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Process payroll and ensure accurate tax withholdings and benefits tracking
Oversee bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and expense tracking
Prepare sales tax filings and ensure compliance with state/local regulations
Monitor cash flow, forecast budget needs, and assist in strategic financial planning
Coordinate with the external CPA for year-end closing, audits, and tax preparation
Track and report on costs related to production, packaging, and distribution
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1-2 Â years of accounting experience, preferably in food, retail, or manufacturing
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of inventory management and cost accounting a plus
