The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and ready to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative cut-and-sew manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Pattern Support & Drafting
- Assist with digital pattern editing, annotation, and cleanup using internal templates and Gerber/Adobe tools.
- Support pattern revisions following fittings, manager feedback, or client notes.
- Interpret sample corrections into updated pattern data, flagging inconsistencies before submission.
- Ensure files are properly labeled, organized, and uploaded into the team’s shared platforms.
Spec Development & BOM Accuracy
- Create and revise spec sheets using measurements and style notes provided by assistants and leads.
- Cross-check Bills of Materials (BOMs) with tech packs, materials received, and client instructions.
- Support SKU setup and assist with creating pre-production and sample tracking logs.
- Reference past styles to estimate sew times or stitch counts when drafting early spec sheets.
Cross-Functional Communication
- Serve as a technical liaison between the Spec Writers and the Technical Assistant Leads, surfacing any issues in data integrity, timelines, or pattern discrepancies.
- Attend daily check-ins and actively report on style progress and remaining needs.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with samplemakers, floor leads, and other departments.
Process & SOP Compliance
- Follow the full Zoho Technical Development workflow—including checklist reviews, photo uploads, and detail annotations.
- Maintain a clean and up-to-date digital archive for all styles in development.
- Complete required technical forms, quality assurance checks, and document reviews before sign-off.
Skills & Qualifications

- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, Adobe Illustrator, and/or Gerber or comparable CAD software
- Working knowledge of garment construction, pattern shapes, and fit considerations
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Able to take direction, adapt quickly, and operate with a growth mindset
