We specialize in the design, specification, and commissioning of grounding systems.
The opportunity
This position involves participating in a team environment to provide specialist electrical engineering services to Safearth’s clients and support Safearth activities in the following areas:
- Grounding System Design
- Grounding system performance assessment and testing.
- Lightning protection system design and assessment.
- Electrical shock safety and incident investigation.
- Complex electrical problem-solving across instrumentation, power, pipe, and communications systems.
- Training
- Work Health and Safety.
Key duties & responsibilities
These key duties & responsibilities listed below may be amended from time to time to ensure that they accurately reflect the responsibilities of your position. Your contribution to the success of the business is reflected in the following key tasks:
- Manage and grow our corporate and individual client relationships
- Identify and match our client needs with Safearth resources
- Support servicing and handling of equipment as needed
- Support for testing efforts through travel, testing, and reporting
- Provide modelling and design services
- Give technical and marketing presentations at industry conferences and Safearth training classes
- Comply with all procedures relating to Safearth Americas Safety Manual and risk management practices, to ensure personnel safety, and minimize risk to Safearth.
- Identify areas of improvement in the company and assist in creating and implementing valuable solutions
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
Additional requirements
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Experience in electrical utility industry (preferred).
- The ability to influence and work with others to achieve high-level outcomes.
- Professional qualified and registered engineer a plus
- Current Driver’s License.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
