Human Resource Specialist

Human Resource Specialist (Production Focus)

This Human Resource Specialist will focus on collaboration with plant leadership to understand, define, and fulfill skills and staffing requirements, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.

This position features a hybrid arrangement, requiring onsite presence at our Archbold, OH office Mon to Wed, while allowing remote work (once trained) on Thu and/or Fri.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts talent needs assessments with factory leadership, resulting in a clear understanding of required skillsets and staffing levels.

Partners with HR leadership to identify and deploy appropriate staffing solutions that support factory demand.

Collaborates with HR branding and communication resources to source candidates.

Manages and executes the Talent Acquisition process from start (intake) to completion (successful onboarding). This includes utilizing the HRIS system, posting jobs internally and externally, reviewing and selecting candidates, coordinating interviews, making offers and dispositioning candidates, verifying employee eligibility, auditing new hire forms.

Performs other tasks as assigned, such as assisting with onboarding sessions, supporting morale initiatives, and helping with special events.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills/Abilities: 

Business System Acumen: Ability to learn and master HR information systems for talent and recruiting. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, adept at conducting phone conversations and virtual meetings, and skilled at assessing applicants.

Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple job openings and applicants while ensuring a high-quality process and maintaining a positive candidate experience.

Compliance Skills: Discipline and knowledge to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.

Professionalism: Demonstrates integrity and confidentiality.

Proficiency in Spanish a plus.

Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or at least 3 years’ experience in a role with relevant responsibilities.

At least one year of Human Resource or supervisory experience is preferred.

SHRM certification a plus.

Experience with mastery of information business systems, either HRIS or other business systems.

PAY SUMMARY:

Expected offer range: $50,000 - $66,000/year. The actual salary will be based on factors such as relevant experience and skills. The max salary listed is not the top of the salary band.
