Position Requirements:

Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program

Holds Pennsylvania Physical Therapist Assistant License

Team oriented culture and approach

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Treat all employees and patients according to LHMPTI Mission Statement and Core Values.

Document in accordance with professional, regulatory, LHMPTI and payor guidelines.

Listen actively, demonstrate verbal, non-verbal, and written communication that is respectful and empathetic.

Appropriate collaboration with supervising physical therapist regarding patient progression or change in patient status.

Responsible for regular collaboration with staff, specifically supervising physical therapist.

Provide effective therapeutic interventions that are patient centered. 

Modification of test/measures and treatment interventions to progress patients as directed by supervising physical therapist and/or to effectively meet patient goals/needs.

Recognize and incorporate safety procedures, precautions, and contraindications in the delivery of services.

Recognize when guidance from supervising physical therapist is necessary based on patient presentation.
