Laboratory Technician (Growth Media)

We’re a San Diego-based biotech company dedicated to supporting the global life sciences community. Our products, including cell cultures, growth media, and cell biology tools, are used by researchers at leading universities, biotech firms, and pharmaceutical companies around the world.

We’re currently looking for a Growth Media Technician to join our team.

This role is a great fit for someone who is reliable, consistent, and detail-oriented. A positive attitude and adaptability are essential in our dynamic lab environment. This is a hands-on position where your daily contributions directly support cutting-edge research and innovation across the biotech and biomedical fields.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

• Basal medium preparation and filtering.

• Assisting with preparation of growth medium.

• Buffer and reagent preparation.

• Cleaning of glassware, autoclaving, inventory, and stocking.

• Maintenance and organization of accurate records.

• Labeling and sealing of products.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or closely related science.

• Possess outstanding manual dexterity and be able to carry out aseptic work.

• Possess a great work ethic and completes tasks in precise and punctual fashion.

• Be comfortable with what can sometimes be repetitive work. That's what excellence requires.

• Working knowledge of scientific calculations, such as molarity.

• Working knowledge of standard laboratory procedures and safety.

• Working knowledge of laboratory equipment (i.e. pH meter, scale, pipetting).

• Candidate must be a team player and have good communication skills.

• Candidate must be organized and have the ability to closely follow direction.

• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google searches).
