IT Support Specialist

Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Operations Specialist to support and enhance our IT infrastructure. This role combines hands-on technical support with software and license management, cloud services Support, and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Windows environments, study or some experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Installation & Configuration
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and related software.
  • Set up and deploy new hardware and software for end users.
  • Software & License Management
  • Track and manage software licenses, renewals, and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of software inventory and usage.
  • Cloud Services Support
  • Assist with user account provisioning, permissions, and troubleshooting.
  • Technical Documentation
  • Create and maintain clear, concise technical documentation, including user guides, SOPs, and internal IT procedures.
  • Document system configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting steps.
  • IT Support & Troubleshooting
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline IT operations and improve system efficiency.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in helpdesk support or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS installation and troubleshooting.
  • Ideal Experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
  • Familiarity with software asset management and license tracking tools.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
