Overview

As the Associate General Counsel based in Novi, MI, you will be instrumental in managing and coordinating the legal affairs of Aebi Schmidt Group and our subsidiaries.

Your focus areas include contract review and negotiation, litigation management, real estate leasing transactions, intellectual property portfolio management, continuous improvement of legal processes, and addressing requests for legal assistance initiated across the company.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare, negotiate, and review commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and other business partners  
• Coordinate and supervise claims and litigation, including management of outside counsel
• Handle quality and warranty matters for customers and regulatory agencies   
• Negotiate and document real estate leases related to the company's operations
• Train business teams on key legal topics
• Manage the Company's intellectual property portfolio
• Implement and improve legal processes, risk management, and legal functions
• Provide legal support for corporate development projects
• Perform counseling and legal research related to compliance and business-relevant topics

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution
• License to practice law in at least one state (preferably Michigan)
• Three or more (3+) years of corporate firm or in-house experience
• Detail-oriented and the ability to communicate effectively
• Robust organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• A track record of handling multiple projects effectively and meeting deadlines
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
