Lower School Teacher: STEM

The Grayson School invites applications for a Lower School STEM Teacher position, with a preference for applicants interested in teaching multiple STEM subjects.

Primary responsibilities include providing core instruction in STEM subjects for small groups of elementary age students, as well as fostering an engaged, student-centered learning environment. Opportunities for growth and leadership are significant as the school continues to expand each year. Additional responsibilities may include community cultivation, curriculum development, student supervision, and other duties based on the desires and qualities of the successful candidate.

You must have:

• Experience in elementary or early childhood education.
• Demonstrated passion for one or more of the STEM subjects.
• A Pennsylvania teaching certificate or private academic certification, Grades PK-4 certification preferred; In-progress certifications will be considered and we will help qualified candidates with experience and training to obtain certification.
• Up-to-date (less than 1 year old) clearances prior to beginning work, including Federal Criminal History, PA State Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, Act 168, and any additional required clearances.
• An appreciation of both the intellectual and the social-emotional needs of gifted children.
• A willingness to differentiate for a variety of learners.

It would be awesome if you have:

• An advanced degree in education or a related field.
• Experience working with gifted children.
• Experience with Positive Behavioral Supports and Interventions.
• The desire to share your passion for STEM subjects with equally passionate young learners.
