Associate Transportation Analyst
Position Summary:
The associate transportation analyst is responsible for providing support and minimizing impact across all transportation modes (air, ocean, non-merch, and parcel) for VS&Co. The global transportation team is responsible for managing global shipments to and from our US distribution centers. The associate transportation analyst will act as a liaison between the VS&Co Logistics team, internal partners and external service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily shipments and transportation flows using available tools (Excel, Access)
- Support the development of reporting innovations to increase speed and accuracy of shipments and flows
- Monitor OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) and research any identified issues
- Provide reporting to management detailing provider delivery performance, volume, trends, and other special projects as needed.
- Pull shipment and flow data and summarize for various partners across the business
- Respond quickly to change with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new ways to work and achieve objectives
- Support sustainable and repeatable processes in the logistics network to support all transportation modes (Ocean, Air, Parcel, SD&S and Non-Merchandise logistics categories), including the creation and updating of SOPs.
- Assist in providing weekly and monthly reports to management detailing provider delivery performance, corporate volume and sourcing trends, and special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or related discipline or 1+ years of experience working in a related position
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical abilities, and high proficiency using Microsoft Excel
- Ability to digest data and share out to different audiences
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with time definite projects and reporting
- Self-motivated; proven ability to make independent decisions and suggest process improvement
- Minimal travel within the Central Ohio area may be required
