Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customs Brokerage Specialist to join our logistics team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field who is ready to kick-start their career in customs operations and international trade compliance.

As a Customs Brokerage Specialist, you will assist in managing the documentation and regulatory requirements involved in importing and exporting goods. You'll play a key role in ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with U.S. Customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit accurate import documentation to U.S. Customs and other government agencies
  • Monitor the clearance process to ensure timely release of shipments
  • Communicate with customs officers, carriers, clients, and internal teams to resolve any documentation or compliance issues
  • Ensure all entries comply with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) regulations
  • Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
  • Track shipments and proactively address any delays or discrepancies
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trade regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
  • Support audits and assist in compiling records and reports as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with warehousing, transportation, and customer service teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high volumes of data/documents
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Spanish/English bilingual skills a plus
  • Prior internship or coursework related to customs, international trade, or logistics is a bonus but not required
