Position Summary:
EP Logistics, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented FTZ Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with a background in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or Logistics who are interested in the specialized area of Foreign Trade Zones.
As an FTZ Specialist, you will support the daily operations, compliance, and recordkeeping of EP Logistics' FTZ activities. You will work closely with internal departments, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and clients to ensure all FTZ procedures comply with federal regulations and operational standards. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a highly regulated, high-impact area of international logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily coordination and tracking of FTZ admissions, transfers, and shipments
- Maintain accurate inventory control and compliance documentation for FTZ entries and removals
- Prepare and submit required documentation for FTZ operations to CBP and other government agencies
- Ensure accurate reconciliation between physical inventory and system records
- Communicate regularly with customs officers, clients, carriers, and warehouse personnel
- Assist in FTZ audits, reporting, and recordkeeping as required by federal regulations
- Monitor and ensure compliance with FTZ regulations, CBP guidelines, and EP Logistics protocols
- Support the integration of FTZ compliance with broader warehousing and brokerage operations
- Stay informed on FTZ regulations, operational changes, and industry best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and compliance-oriented mindset
- One year experience in the field of Customs or FTZ
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
- Prior internship or coursework related to FTZ, customs, or international trade is a plus
- Familiarity with CBP regulations and inventory control systems a bonus
