Chattanooga Fellow (2026-27)
Mission Statement
The Chattanooga Fellows Program is a nine-month experience that equips recent college graduates to faithfully find their vocation, commit to community, explore their faith, and practice civic responsibility.
Areas of Influence
Workplace Assignments- Part-time jobs combine practical experience with exploration of day-to-day issues of faith and help Fellows develop relationships and networks within their vocational field. The consistent job responsibilities will teach time management, the principles of being a part of a professional organization, and how to advocate for yourself in a work environment.
Theological Training- The classes, required readings, seminars, and guest speakers help Fellows understand how to faithfully apply Biblical truth and engage all areas of culture. Through class discussions and interactions with qualified professors Fellows will grow in their understanding of the gospel story as well as how to graciously and civilly discuss issues even when there are disagreements.
Spiritual Formation- Fellows participate in studying scripture together and enjoy one-on-one mentoring relationships with mature Christian men and women. The structure and sacrifice needed as a participant in the Fellows program will push participants to put their trust in the Lord.
Church and Community Service- Fellows are required to serve within the Church and in other community ministries. Weekly participation in church ministries as well as group visits with local nonprofits will allow Fellows to think of others and have eyes to see the needs around them. Being a regular attendee and participant in a local church will ingrain the importance of a multi-generational church community.
Fellowship and Community- The Fellows share a weekly community dinner together and participate in professional seminars reflecting on the principles and practices of Christian community and cultural engagement. The Fellows community is committed to encouragement, accountability, prayer, and fellowship. Lifelong friendships are often forged therein.
