Summary
As an HR Generalist at Polaris’ Osceola Powertrain Plant, you’ll be a key member of the Human Resources team, supporting a diverse manufacturing workforce. This role serves as a trusted advisor to both employees and management by fostering a high-performance culture, ensuring HR best practices, and driving employee engagement, development, and retention.

Responsibilities
Employee Relations: 30 %
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Partner with managers and supervisors with record keeping and documentation on employee relations issues and corrective action steps in disciplinary issues.
- Support a positive workplace culture based on Polaris values.
- Conduct exit interviews and processes required termination paperwork.
Policy Implementation & Compliance: 10 %
- Interpret and apply company policies, labor laws, and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA). Partner with leaders to ensure compliance.
- Counsel employees regarding duties, career development, benefits programs, policies and other employment related issues.
Support HR Projects: 10 %
- Collaborate with HR and plant leadership on initiatives including cross-functional employee engagement, safety/EHS, and continuous improvement efforts.
Performance & Engagement: 10 %
- Support performance management processes, lead employee engagement initiatives, and assist with employee recognition programs.
Recruitment & Onboarding: 5 %
- Assist in sourcing, interviewing, and hiring hourly and salaried talent.
- Manage onboarding and orientation to ensure new hires feel connected and supported.
Training & Development: 5 %
- Coordinate employee development programs, track required training, and support leadership development initiatives.
HR Reporting & Systems: 5 %
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS (e.g., Workday), generate reports, and ensure data integrity.
Experience & Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of business and people matters.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (Workday, UKG preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
