Electronic Health Record (EHR) & Medical Records Coordinator (Program Coordinator)

EHR Coordinator: Builds and maintains Electronic Health Record (EHR) clinic schedules for providers across the region. Completes requests for schedule change and/or patient appointments. Uses Electronic Health Record (EHR) reporting tools to monitor and report clinic operations and efficiency. Communicates Electronic Health Record (EHR) updates to regional staff and provides problem solving assistance to Electronic Health Record (EHR) users. Completes the adoption process in Electronic Health Record (EHR). Monitors and assist with client duplicate activities in various systems that contain client information.

Records Management: Ensures records are archived and retained to agency standards and policies. Coordinates pick-up of archived records with State Record Center (SRC), Central Office and Heath Department staff. Train staff in the process of records archiving. Coordinates with sites and State Record Center (SRC) for retrieval of archived records as needed. 

Assistance and Back-up to Regional Service Coordination Director: Answers questions and/or coordinates with Central office and Office of General Counsel (OGC) staff regarding court orders, subpoenas, or search warrants in the absence of the Service Coordination Director. Assists Regional Operations (OPS) Directors with site process evaluations. Assists Regional Health Director (RHD), Regional Operations (OPS), Regional Nursing Director (RND), Service Coordination Director (SCD) with Data collection as requested.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and relevant program experience.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Preferred Qualifications

Must process a valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle. Travel will be required. May be required to work outside of normal business hours. Must have the ability to lift 30lbs. Knowledge of the DPH CARES and E.H.R. system. Knowledge of DPH administrative procedures, policies, and practices. Knowledge of office practice, procedure, and equipment. Knowledge of centralized appointments and scheduling. Ability to plan, organize, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Proficient in the use of Microsoft WORD, Excel, and other database applications. Good customer service skills.

Additional Comments

DRIVING RECORD: If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver’s license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
