Now Hiring: RTMC Operator (ALL Shifts)

Full or Part-Time | In-Person, TAMPA, FLORIDA | Paid Training Provided

At Lucent Group, Inc., we’re committed to delivering real-time solutions to real-world problems, and it starts with people like you. We’re looking for a focused, tech-savvy, and collaborative RTMC Operator to join our team at the Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) in Tampa.

In this role, you’ll be at the center of Florida’s intelligent transportation system, helping monitor traffic flow, respond to incidents, and support safe, efficient travel across our state’s highways.

What You'll Be Doing as an RTMC Operator

  • Monitor traffic conditions using live CCTV, dynamic message signs, and smart software
  • Communicate with Road Rangers, law enforcement, and emergency response teams
  • Log and report incidents in real time
  • Help manage traffic flow and reduce congestion across Florida DOT District 7 roadways
  • Support public safety through technology-driven response coordination

Who You Are

You’re dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable using technology to make smart decisions quickly. You care about public safety and thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of experience using Microsoft Office or similar computer software
  • Experience with dispatch, surveillance systems, or customer service, preferred,  is a plus
  • Reliable, dependable, honest, flexible, positive, innovative, accountable
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and follow detailed procedures
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Successful completion of a 4-week paid training program (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
  • Ability to pass a State Law Enforcement Background Check and Drug Screen
