Part-Time Public Speaking & Debate Instructor (Atlanta)

 

We are looking for passionate Public Speaking & Debate Instructors to join our team! If you have a strong background in public speaking, debate, and teaching elementary students, we’d love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity for graduate students and experienced educators looking for a flexible, high-paying part-time role.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach public speaking and debate to grades K - 8 following a pre-designed curriculum developed by the Program Director.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons using provided materials and teaching strategies.
  • Attend onsite and offsite training sessions to become qualified to teach independently.
  • Provide constructive feedback on students’ speech content, delivery, and critical thinking skills.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (graduate degree preferred). Current college students are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Strongly preferred: Prior public speaking, debate, or coaching experience.
  • Strongly preferred: Experience teaching or coaching elementary-aged students.
  • Degree in Communication, Political Science, Education, Psychology, or related fields is preferred.
  • Ability to travel reliably to designated schools in the metro area.
  • Background check required.

Compensation & Schedule:

  • $40+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Weekday afterschool hours (3:30-5:00) availability required.
  • Flexible schedule.
