Job Summary:

 

The College of Engineering, Civil and Construction Engineering , is seeking an Online Program Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, professional faculty position.

 

The Civil and Construction Engineering (CCE ) Online Programs Coordinator supports the development, launch, tracking, operation, forecasting, and continuous improvement of CCE’s online programs. Working closely with the CCE Online Programs Manager, this role ensures the successful delivery of online programs through effective coordination of academic operations, student engagement, and strategic outreach efforts.

 

In the area of program operations, the Online Programs Coordinator manages day-to-day logistics, including online course scheduling in alignment with in-person offerings, tracking course enrollments, and supporting course planning and sequencing strategies. They are responsible for providing regular reporting on Ecampus student and course data, analyzing trends in enrollment, retention, and student success, and supporting data collection for internal planning and external reporting. The Online Programs Coordinator also creates and distributes faculty letters of agreement for faculty developers, supports faculty onboarding and training, and ensures that processes for students and faculty are clear and transparent. Additionally, they provide logistical support for the Ecampus capstone experience, collaborating with industry partners, faculty, and students.

 

They will ensure that student-facing processes are clear, accessible, and well-communicated. They respond to routine inquiries regarding program requirements, schedules, and available support services. The Online Programs Coordinator maintains and updates onboarding materials, website content, and Canvas resources to enhance the student experience. They collaborate with the head advisor and Ecampus advisor, and undergraduate program coordinator to support student advising and outreach, including transcript evaluations and new admit onboarding. Furthermore, they work with the CCE Industry Liaison, OSU Career Services, and student groups to foster industry engagement and career development opportunities for online learners. The Online Programs Coordinator also assists in the development and management of a new online mentorship program and helps facilitate virtual student groups to build a sense of community among distance learners.

 

In partnership with the Online Programs Manager, CCE Industry Liaison, the Assistant Dean for Online Programs, and the Division of Educational Ventures, the Online Program Coordinator will assist with the development and implementation of a CCE specific marketing outreach plan. They will assist with the creation of promotional materials and student testimonials that highlight the impact and success of CCE’s online programs. The Online Programs Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling and promoting virtual events for current students.

 

Overall, the CCE Online Programs Coordinator plays a vital role in aligning program operations, student services, and outreach strategies to ensure the continued success and growth of CCE’s online programs.

What You Will Need

 

• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, communication, social work, psychology, science, engineering, or related field from an accredited degree program.

• Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and ability in organizing, coordinating and supporting projects.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

• Ability to work professionally with internal and external audiences, students, and other stakeholders.

• Ability to interact and communicate successfully and inclusively, both in writing and verbally, with a broad and diverse audience in a professional, positive and friendly manner.

• Self-directed and motivated with the ability to work in a collaborative/team environment.

• Proficient knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); ability and willingness to learn university data systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and excellent attention to detail.
