POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The most immediate impression of the Y is based on the cleanliness of our facility. You will be working with our PM cleaning crew deep cleaning all areas of the facility. Work will include shampooing carpets, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing toilets and sinks, steam cleaning showers, and trash disposal. You will also assist with laundering towels.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS

Skills: Experience in a commercial cleaning environment or closely related field preferred.

Competencies: You must be detail oriented, dependable, able to work without direct supervision, and take pride in your work. You must exhibit the Y core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring.

Physical Requirements:

You must be able to:

• Lift a minimum of 10 pounds and a maximum of 50 pounds; floor to waist height, ongoing throughout the shift.
• Carry a minimum of 10 pounds and a maximum of 50 pounds; frequently throughout the shift.
• Push or pull a minimum of 10 pounds and a maximum of 120 pounds (with the use of a dolly) frequently throughout the shift.
• Stand and/or walk up to 4 hours per day.
• Reach forward and overhead, bend, and stoop frequently throughout the shift.

Age: Minimum age is 18

SCHEDULE

Specific schedule to be determined based on availability and need.

Shifts include: Mon – Fri, 4:00PM – 9:30PM.

Rotating weekend day shifts.

WAGE

Starting at $10 per hour; Includes fully paid YMCA adult membership.
