Assistant Culinary Instructor (After-School Program)
Part-Time | Contract | $23-$26/ hr
Location: Oakland, CA

Job Overview:

We are seeking an Assistant Cooking Instructor for our after-school Culinary Arts program. The ideal candidate will assist the lead instructor in facilitating cooking-related activities for 6th to 8th-grade students. You must have prior experience working in a classroom setting and be able to support hands-on learning in a dynamic, fun environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prior experience in a classroom or educational setting.
  • Strong interest or background in culinary arts.
  • Ability to assist with classroom management and student engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Assist lead instructor with prepping materials and activities.
  • Help manage student participation and ensure a safe, supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with the lead instructor to foster a fun and educational experience for all students.

Details:

  • Schedule: Fall After-School Program
  • Commitment: 1–2 hours per week as needed
  • Compensation: $23-$26/ hr
