Afterschool Tennis and Pickleball Coaches
SBA Tennis & Pickleball is seeking part-time coaches to provide afterschool tennis and/or pickleball instruction to students in the South Bay Area (Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Saratoga, Campbell, Los Gatos, Santa Clara)!
Current Schedules that We Are Offering:
- classes are 1 hour long
- start times for classes vary anywhere from 12:30-3:45 PM, depending on the school
- flexible schedule, work 1 or more days per week from Monday-Friday
After-School Tennis Coach Responsibilities:
- attend a training/shadowing session to learn more about the program
- conduct classes of 5 - 10 students independently and/or with other coaches
- teach using provided lesson plans & own experience
- manage equipment transport to and from class
- handle attendance and student sign-in/out
- communicate with parents and school staff when needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- comfortable working with children and has a fun, friendly, patient, and enthusiastic personality
- knowledge/willingness to learn how to effectively teach children sports
- professional, punctual, and adheres to safety protocols
- reliable transportation
- live scan background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- previous teaching/coaching experience (tennis and/or other sports/activities): 2+ years
- good tennis playing ability: NTRP 3.0+
- certified by USPTA/PTR or open to getting certified
