+ About Verita AI

Verita AI is building the next generation of AI to be more reliable, trustful, and useful. With our tools, we want to help people learn better, work smarter, and think in new ways. We partner with creative AI companies to design data that captures originality and human judgment.

+ About the Role

The Audio & Environment Annotation Specialist is a practitioner who analyzes and annotates fine-grained sound details that go far beyond the distinction between “speech vs. noise.” In this role, you will identify and label subtle auditory cues such as footsteps on different surfaces (marble vs. wood), layered ambient textures, and complex environmental soundscapes.

This role supports the mission of training AI systems to understand sound with the same depth and nuance that humans perceive. Your contributions will help ensure models capture the richness of real-world audio environments, enabling more immersive and accurate applications in media, robotics, and interactive AI.

+ Responsibilities

Annotate audio clips with detailed labels for object interactions, and ambient layers.

Provide expert adjudication in subtle or ambiguous cases, such as overlapping sound sources.

+ Who We Are Looking For

Artists, sound designers, or audio engineers with experience in film, television, games, or immersive media.

Strong ability to distinguish and describe fine-grained auditory differences across environments.

Detail-oriented, with ability to maintain consistency across complex datasets.

Pay: $40/hour with flexible scheduling.

Community: Join a collaborative group of Foley artists, audio engineers, and media specialists passionate about sound detail.

Impact: Help train cutting-edge AI systems that move beyond words to capture the auditory subtleties of real life.
