Position Title: Multimedia Producer
Position Summary
You will lead video storytelling of the transformative work of this community. With a focus on livestreaming worship and multimedia storytelling, you will collaborate with staff and volunteers to share stories of hope, justice, and inclusion. We are a progressive, urban church committed to growing in love of God and neighbor. (We are located across the street from the Walker Art Center, and near Loring Park in Minneapolis.)
This role has two primary areas of focus. First, you will oversee livestream video production and post-production of Sunday worship services, working closely with a team of volunteers and the Worship Team to prepare, produce, and edit services. Second, you will serve as an integral member of the Communications Team, using your technical and creative skills to shape and share the church’s story through multimedia.
Job Description:
- Full-time (40 hours/week), salary, exempt
- Typical work week includes four weekdays and Sunday, with occasional evening or weekend events
- $52,000 to $65,000 annual salary, depending on experience and ability

Key Responsibilities
1. Storytelling Through Videography
- Produce livestream video of Sunday worship services.
- Collaborate with the Communications Department to create video and still photography for church communications.
- Produce media for other events and projects.
2. Technical Oversight
- Manage the operations of audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems for worship services and events.
- Oversee maintenance, repair, and upgrades of production equipment.
- Research and recommend technology purchases and upgrades within budgetary constraints.
- Maintain organized inventory of production equipment and supplies.
3. Service Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with worship leaders, musicians, and creative teams to plan technical needs.
- Participate in creative planning meetings to align production with service flow, themes, and artistic vision.
- Prepare and distribute technical run sheets for services and events.
- Manage rehearsals and sound checks to ensure readiness before each service.
4. Team Leadership & Volunteer Development
- Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor volunteers and part-time production staff.
- Build a positive, team-oriented culture that encourages growth and excellence.
- Provide ongoing training on equipment use, safety protocols, and production best practices.
5. Special Events & Projects
- Provide AV-related technical assistance for church events.
- Coordinate media support for weddings and funerals (receiving additional fee for supporting these events).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the electronic media production or similar fields.
- Proficiency with digital audio and video equipment, consoles, camera-switching, live mixing, signal-chain management, and post-production editing.
- Experience with lighting, and its programming and operation.
- Proficiency with video production, live streaming, and presentation software.
- Ability to move equipment (up to 35 lbs.) and navigate stairs and production spaces throughout the church.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree preferred in fields of communications, media, media studies, electronic media production, or similar degree.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
- Calm under pressure and adaptable to last-minute changes.
- Experience working with and motivating volunteers is highly valued.
- Collaborative spirit and ability to work toward shared goals with staff and congregation.
- Membership in this church or another faith tradition is not required.
