Research Assistant
We are investigating the hurtful romantic relationship experiences of young adult Filipino women. Young adult Filipino women are at greater risk of intimate partner violence in comparison to many other groups. Yet, these women’s experiences are rarely represented in the literature because, so few researchers understand how to engage Filipino women in research and ask about their romantic relationship experiences. We aim to address this gap.
You’ll have the unique opportunity to learn in-depth about intimate partner violence and Filipino communities by working with a doctoral student conducting her dissertation research and a Professor of Counseling Psychology who specializes in the study of intimate partner violence. Join our team to advance your research skills and make a difference!
