Academic Subject Tutor (Remote)
About Us EduAvenues is dedicated to helping students excel academically and gain admission to highly competitive programs. We are looking for experienced subject tutors to provide high-quality instruction in core academic subjects, including math, science, English, and social studies, at the middle school, high school, and AP levels.
Role Overview As an Academic Subject Tutor, you will provide personalized 1:1 instruction to students, helping them grasp challenging concepts, improve study skills, and excel in their coursework and exams. Tutors must be passionate about education and skilled at breaking down complex topics.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach & Mentor: Provide engaging and effective tutoring sessions tailored to student needs.
- Curriculum Support: Assist students with homework, test prep, and subject mastery.
- Test Preparation: Help students prepare for AP exams, SAT Subject Tests, and school assessments.
- Track Progress: Provide regular feedback to students and parents on areas for improvement.
- Adapt Teaching Styles: Use a student-centered approach to ensure comprehension and retention.
Qualifications
- Strong academic background in one or more subjects (Math, Science, English, Social Studies).
- Experience tutoring middle school, high school, or AP-level students.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Passion for education and student success.
- Prior experience with competitive admissions, test prep, or curriculum design is a plus.
