We’re seeking a caring, creative, and supportive Personal Support Assistant to walk alongside the young adult founder of a growing jewelry and fashion business. The founder is a fun, energetic young woman with an intellectual disability who loves sharing beauty, inclusion, and resilience through her work. This role is about being a trusted companion, helper, and teammate, someone who makes sure both the business and daily activities run smoothly.

You’ll help bring a vision of inclusion to life while providing steady, respectful, and encouraging support in everyday situations.

Personal Support & Companionship Responsibilities

  • Attend markets, fairs, and pop-up events with the founder
  • Assist with booth setup, breakdown, and inventory
  • Help with communication, customer interactions, and vendor conversations
  • Provide patient and encouraging assistance in public settings
  • Support transportation and navigating busy environments
  • Help with scheduling, organization, and staying on track
  • Be a reliable companion who brings positivity, kindness, and teamwork

Business Support Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the founder on social media posts, photos, and video editing (Instagram/TikTok)
  • Assist with updating the website (Squarespace)
  • Help research new jewelry or fashion products
  • Join in collaborations and outreach opportunities
  • Contribute ideas and encouragement as the business grows

Requirements

  • Friendly, patient, and supportive personality
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable in public settings and assisting with communication needs
  • Ability to lift and carry event supplies (up to 25 lbs)
  • Basic tech comfort (email, spreadsheets, social media)
  • Willing and able to travel locally and throughout the US if needed
