K-12 School/AP Courses/SAT/ACT Online Tutoring Position

We are a non-profit organization that focuses on helping students achieve academically and as responsible citizens. We focus not only on the subject matter but also personal growth of our students. We are looking for AP course tutors to help high school students.

Job title: Tutor

Job Location: remote/online, or south Bay Area for in-person tutoring, but not required.

Job Hours: Flexible, we will discuss how many hours you may commit to the part-time job based on your availability and the student's availability.

Job requirement: Good grasp of subject matter, relevant course work including AP or college level courses. 

Salary: we have several stages, when you first start, we will have experienced tutors introduce you to the system and the ways we tutor online. First several sessions, you will have someone helping you. This is the paid intern period. 

After that, when you can lead your classes, you become a full tutor. The rate will be $18+, normally $20+ depending on your experience level, and the students you teach. For example, if you are tutoring a junior high student, that will be lower than teaching an AP student in high school. 

Once you have established enough reputation with parents and students, we can have you lead group sessions, groups sessions salary will be based on $20+$5/additional student. So a group of 3 students, would mean an hourly rate of $30. 

During most sessions, you are expected to help with homework, prepare students for quizzes or tests, and help them study ahead.
