China Strategy Analyst

Role Summary: 

  • We are seeking a Strategy Analyst to join the NXP China Strategy team—a role centered on substantive analysis and direct contribution to the company’s strategic direction in a high-growth market.
  • This role is an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate or a professional with up to two years of experience to immerse themselves in the dynamic semiconductor industry.
  • You will work closely with senior professionals to analyze market trends, evaluate growth opportunities, and support critical decision-making processes and gain exposure to the entire strategy development.

Job Responsibility:

  1. Strategic Analysis & Problem Solving: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on the semiconductor, automotive and industrial market, competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and potential investment and partnership opportunities in China.
  2. Financial Modeling & Data Analysis: Develop and maintain complex financial models in Excel to evaluate business cases, forecast performance, and assess the viability of strategic projects.
  3. High-Impact Communication: Create compelling, clear, and executive-ready presentations (PPT) to synthesize complex data and strategic recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders.
  4. Project Support: Play an active role in cross-functional strategic projects, from initial hypothesis formation to final recommendation, ensuring rigorous analysis and structured problem-solving.
  5. Apply a structured problem-solving framework break down business challenges, design analysis plans, and develop actionable recommendations.
  6. Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on key industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements within China's tech and semiconductor ecosystem.

 

Job Qualification:

  1. Undergraduate and/or master’s degree with a strong record of academic achievement
  2. Degree in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related highly quantitative/technical field is preferred
  3. Previously relevant <2 years working or internship experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, equity research, or a technology-focused role is highly preferred
  4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to break down complex problems, structure analysis, and derive data-driven insights.
  5. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, scenario modeling) and Microsoft PowerPoint (ability to create visually impactful and logically structured presentations is critical).
  6. Fluent English is mandatory (both written and verbal), with the confidence to engage professionally in a global, multicultural environment.
