China Strategy Analyst
Role Summary:
- We are seeking a Strategy Analyst to join the NXP China Strategy team—a role centered on substantive analysis and direct contribution to the company’s strategic direction in a high-growth market.
- This role is an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate or a professional with up to two years of experience to immerse themselves in the dynamic semiconductor industry.
- You will work closely with senior professionals to analyze market trends, evaluate growth opportunities, and support critical decision-making processes and gain exposure to the entire strategy development.
Job Responsibility:
- Strategic Analysis & Problem Solving: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on the semiconductor, automotive and industrial market, competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and potential investment and partnership opportunities in China.
- Financial Modeling & Data Analysis: Develop and maintain complex financial models in Excel to evaluate business cases, forecast performance, and assess the viability of strategic projects.
- High-Impact Communication: Create compelling, clear, and executive-ready presentations (PPT) to synthesize complex data and strategic recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Project Support: Play an active role in cross-functional strategic projects, from initial hypothesis formation to final recommendation, ensuring rigorous analysis and structured problem-solving.
- Apply a structured problem-solving framework break down business challenges, design analysis plans, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on key industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements within China's tech and semiconductor ecosystem.
Job Qualification:
- Undergraduate and/or master’s degree with a strong record of academic achievement
- Degree in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related highly quantitative/technical field is preferred
- Previously relevant <2 years working or internship experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, equity research, or a technology-focused role is highly preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to break down complex problems, structure analysis, and derive data-driven insights.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, scenario modeling) and Microsoft PowerPoint (ability to create visually impactful and logically structured presentations is critical).
- Fluent English is mandatory (both written and verbal), with the confidence to engage professionally in a global, multicultural environment.
