Role Description
We’re looking for a dependable and dynamic STEAM Lead Teacher to deliver ready-made lessons for 4th–5th graders during the regular school day. This role is perfect for educators who enjoy guiding interactive projects and can confidently manage a classroom environment.
Core Duties
- Facilitate 4–6 weekly sessions (45–60 minutes each).
- Teach pre-planned lessons in science, technology/coding, engineering builds, arts projects, and math games.
- Keep students actively engaged through inquiry and hands-on activities.
- Maintain classroom structure, safety, and positive behavior.
- Prepare and organize materials before class and handle cleanup after.
- Communicate regularly with the Program Coordinator regarding attendance and updates.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience teaching or leading youth programs.
- Comfortable working with 4th–5th grade students.
- Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to step into lessons with minimal prep.
- Must complete fingerprinting and background check.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with STEAM-based activities or enrichment programs.
- Enthusiasm for inspiring creativity and critical thinking in young learners.
