Essential Responsibilities

  • Process all person(s) served payee bills in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Responsible to distribute social security benefits based on person(s) served payee monthly needs.
  • Monthly monitor receipt and record keeping of person(s) served payee social security benefit monies.
  • Responsible to balance/reconcile person(s) served payee bank statement with P.I. Persons Served database.
  • Maintain open communication with person(s) served payee financial institution.
  • Maintain open communication with the families that are payee for person(s) served within our 24 hour sites.
  • Notify and maintain record of notification to person(s) served payee and residential manager/staff of financial standing. Copy the same information to the appropriate HCBS Coordinator.
  • Research and utilize the most effective and efficient means for providing person(s) served financial services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalency.

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Prefer one year experience in accounting.
  • Ability to operate computer, calculator and other office equipment.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Attend all mandatory training required by this position.
  • Maintain a valid Iowa Driver's License with a good driving record, and a private automobile used to carry out job duties. Hold adequate liability insurance (required: $100,000/$300,000/$50,000).
  • Have adequate computer skills to complete job duties as assigned.
