Duration: Temporary, 3 days (January 29-31, 2026) – Full days during the Yankee Dental Congress event
Type: Internship (Paid daily rate of $150)

About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and tech-savvy student intern from a local Boston-area college to manage our social media presence during the Yankee Dental Congress, the premier dental meeting in the U.S.  This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in digital marketing, content creation, and event promotion. As our intern, you'll take full ownership of our social channels for the duration of the event, focusing on LinkedIn and Facebook, to engage our audience, highlight key moments, and amplify our brand's voice in the dental community. This role is ideal for students pursuing degrees in marketing, communications, journalism, or related fields, and we're excited to partner with local institutions like Boston University, Northeastern University, or Emerson College to fill this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume complete control of our social media accounts during the event, with a primary focus on LinkedIn and Facebook (while monitoring others as needed).
  • Create and schedule real-time posts, including live updates, photos, short videos, stories, and reels to capture event highlights such as speakers, exhibits, networking sessions, and attendee interactions.
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a professional and timely manner to build community and drive conversations.
  • Develop content strategies on the fly, aligning with our brand guidelines to promote sessions, sponsors, and key takeaways from the Yankee Dental Congress.
  • Monitor analytics and trends during the event to optimize posting and report on engagement metrics at the end of each day.
  • Collaborate with our team on-site to gather content ideas and ensure all posts comply with event and platform policies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student at a local Boston-area college or university, with a major or interest in marketing, communications, digital media, or a similar field.
  • Proven experience managing personal or organizational social media accounts, with strong familiarity with LinkedIn and Facebook (including features like Groups, Events, and Insights).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a creative eye for visually appealing content.
  • Comfortable using mobile devices for photography, videography, and editing (basic tools like Canva or Adobe Spark are a plus).
  • Available to work full days on-site from January 29-31, 2026 (approximately 8:30 AM – 6 PM each day, with flexibility for event schedule).
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Access to a smartphone or tablet for content creation (laptop optional but helpful).
  • Passion for social media trends and an interest in the healthcare/dental industry is preferred but not required.

What We Offer:

  • Valuable hands-on experience in social media management at a major industry event.
  • Networking opportunities with dental professionals, exhibitors, and peers.
  • A letter of recommendation and portfolio-building content upon successful completion.
  • Potential for future internship or collaboration opportunities with our organization.
