Surf Instructor

Santa Barbara Surf School is hiring surf instructors. We need someone responsible, organized, energetic and that has a love of surfing. Must be very energetic and attentive when giving lessons. Must have a clean driving record. Must be someone that has a minimum of 5 years of surfing experience.  

Positions are available starting in March and June for work March - September. Fall and Winter work is dependent on summer season performance and availability.

Positions can be part time or full time! 

Positions can also fluctuate between part time and seasonal dependent on availability.

The right candidate must have the following for the role of surf instructor:

- Clean driving record: parking tickets are ok.

- Upbeat and happy personality

- Organized

- 5 years surfing experience - meaning you've surfed for at least 5 years, not necessarily teaching.

- Flexible

- Great people skills (WE ARE VERY CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED)

- Must be active

- Always on time

Pay: $19-$20 DOE/hr plus tips. Payscale can move up with time.

Surf Instructor Job Duties:

- Leading Surf lessons

- Safety orientation

- Daily set up and tear down; general cleaning after lessons

- Renting to customers

- Customer Service

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time, Seasonal
