Product Consultant
Role Overview:
This is a full-time, competitive inside sales position for someone that thrives in a sales cycle environment. The Product Consultant plays a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This person will report directly to the Vice President of National Sales.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for meeting sales and department goals and initiatives for client acquisition and revenue growth objectives
- Make outbound calls to prospective brokers and clients in current CRM database; follow up with established accounts or prospects who respond to marketing material requesting further info and convert to sales
- Handle inbound calls generated from various marketing campaigns across different advertising platforms fielded and converted to new business
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest to expand and maintain our database of prospects
- Manage database of leads timely and ensure proper follow up through all stages of sales life cycle
- Through weekly team meetings, stay updated on current marketing and sales efforts to allow for consistent communication to the marketplace
- Take ownership of leads until they're either converted or exhausted; follow up to resolution
- Responds to a variety of strategic broker and client-level inquiries from operational to informational; develops and maintains strong relationships with clients and brokers
- Maintains detailed knowledge of new and existing products offered by ArmadaCare
- Ensures credibility with clients and brokers by maintaining detailed knowledge of current market conditions and competitors’ products
- Supports outside sales team when necessary
- Appropriately documents conversations with clients and brokers and updates all computer systems when necessary; ensures accuracy of data in those systemsÂ
What You'll Bring:
- BA/BS degree or relevant experience
- 2+ years sales experience
- Outbound/ Cold Calling experience
- General understanding of health insurance industry
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage broker and client expectations while understanding the impact both administratively and financially
- Effective business correspondence skills, including prompt and accurate follow-up to all time-sensitive items
- Ability to effectively present informationÂ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to a team-oriented office environment
- Internet savvy and proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
Salary Information:
In accordance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are committed to providing transparent wage information for all posted job opportunities. The wage for this position is $55,000 per year + commission. Compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
