Overview:

This New Jersey farm is a side project that we are working on, providing interns with real-world opportunities to support livestock and agricultural operations.ULimo is seeking passionate Animal Science Interns to support livestock management initiatives involving animal nutrition, breeding, genetics, health monitoring, and daily farm operations. Interns will learn about responsible animal care while gaining insight into efficient and sustainable livestock production.

This internship provides hands-on experience working with livestock operations and modern animal management practices. Interns will contribute to projects that improve animal welfare, farm efficiency, and operational planning while developing practical agricultural knowledge.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with livestock management projects.
  • Research animal nutrition and feeding strategies.
  • Monitor livestock health and welfare initiatives.
  • Support breeding and genetics research.
  • Help maintain records related to animal care.
  • Research disease prevention and herd management practices.
  • Assist with daily farm operation planning.
  • Analyze livestock performance data.
  • Collaborate on projects that improve animal welfare.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Biology, or a related field.
  • Interest in livestock management and animal health.
  • Strong organizational and observational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
