Lab Technician

Lab Technician

Location: Lincoln, NE
Pay: $21.50/hour

Join a quality-focused manufacturing team where you'll play a key role in ensuring products meet strict quality and food safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a science background or laboratory experience who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Schedule

  • Training: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
  • After Training: Rotating swing shift between 2nd and 3rd shift
  • Training typically lasts 6-8 weeks (may range from 4-12 weeks)
  • Assignment expected to last at least 12 months

What You'll Do

  • Perform analytical and sensory testing on in-process and finished products.
  • Record and interpret test results using laboratory software (LIMS).
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and food safety procedures.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
  • Collect, handle, and store samples according to established procedures.
  • Identify out-of-specification results and communicate findings promptly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records.
  • Assist with inventory of laboratory supplies and testing materials.
  • Support quality, food safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production and other departments to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in a science-related field preferred.
  • Previous laboratory or analytical testing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GLP, or LIMS is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work rotating 2nd and 3rd shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work safely with laboratory chemicals.
