Agricultural Program Specialist
Make a difference in your community and help support farmers, ranchers, and producers as an Agricultural Program Specialist with USDA's Farm Service Agency (FSA)!
This position is located in Albuquerque, NM as part of the New Mexico State FSA Office in Bernalillo County. As an Agricultural Program Specialist, you will plan, administer, and review all aspects of farm program activities, serving as a key resource to the State Executive Director, State Committee, County Offices, and District Directors for information and advice on assigned programs.
Additional duties and responsibilities include:
- Providing technical guidance on problems, investigating and resolving matters between program participants and the County FSA Office.
- Interpreting national program policies, procedures, and regulations to determine their applicability and impact on FSA program administration within the state of New Mexico.
- Identifying and analyzing program non-compliance issues, recommending corrective solutions.
- Attending meetings and developing contacts with various governmental agencies, producers, trade organizations, County Offices, State agricultural officials, and the public.
- Investigating allegations of fraud or program abuses.
