Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Intern to join our Finance team for the summer. This internship provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting operations, including invoice processing, customer billing, payment tracking, and financial record maintenance.
The AP/AR Intern will work closely with accounting and finance professionals to support daily transactions, ensure accurate financial records, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Assist with reviewing, coding, and processing vendor invoices.
- Verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Support vendor account maintenance and communication.
- Help prepare payment runs and reconcile vendor statements.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
Accounts Receivable
- Assist with customer invoicing and payment application.
- Monitor outstanding balances and support collection efforts.
- Research and resolve customer billing inquiries.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of customer transactions.
General Accounting Support
- Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
- Support financial reporting and data analysis projects.
- Help identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Preferred
- Previous accounting, finance, customer service, or administrative experience.
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems.
- Experience working with large datasets and spreadsheets.
- Interest in pursuing a career in Accounting or Finance.
