Wildcat Agri-Services Summer Internship 2027
We are a progressive seed agency located in south central Kansas near the town of Sedgwick. Along with selling a full line of Pioneer seed we also sell a variety of wheat seed to our customers too.
We are seeking an organized, self-starter individual who is able to work independently on projects and tasks within our Pioneer seed agency. Typically, the job would be 5 days per week and around 40 -45 hours per week with time off on weekends and holidays. Could occasionally be more hours per week depending on the workload during the busy times. Duration will be from approximately May 24th – August 13th, 2027.

Job description duties include the following:
- Put up plot signs on Pioneer test plots
- Put out Pioneer field signs on customer fields
- Meet with Wildcat AgriServices customers and give them some Pioneer/Wildcat Swag items. Visit with them to make sure Wildcat Agri-Services is providing them with what their operation needs
- Ride along with Pioneer field agronomists to learn what to look for when evaluating test plots throughout the season. Possibly visit a Pioneer research station to get a better understanding of Pioneer’s product genetics
- Potential ride-a-longs with industry professionals such as other agronomists or chemical retailers
- Attend Pioneer and potentially other agronomy meetings to learn more about various varieties and agronomy topics. These could include those that are in person and possible webinar training too
- Help with our social media postings such as FaceBook and Instagram
- Wheat test plot involvement including
- Signage of the plot
- Help with harvesting of the test plot
- Evaluations of varieties prior to harvest
- Sorting customer seed orders
- Organize and prepare Pioneer seed to be returned to the plant
- Unload and check in Pioneer seed deliveries
- Enter customer test plot data into the TDE tablet system
- Help plant test plots on Pioneer customers
- Deliver Pioneer seed to customer operations
- Visit customers fields to evaluate and document any replant areas or areas with agronomy concerns
- Keep accurate records of customer field sign locations
- Help to organize and keep our warehouse clean and functioning throughout the season
- Gather soil samples or plant tissue samples for various nematode or other agronomy tests
- Cleaning and servicing seed tenders to have them ready for the next customer to use
- KARA Field Day Agronomy conference. This two-day event is an option to attend in Manhattan.
