Dog Care Internship

DOG CARE INTERNSHIP AT FAR FETCHED ACRES

Our internship offers hands-on, immersive experience for aspiring animal behavior and care professionals, using ethical, science-based approaches to animal welfare. What You'll Do

Requirements

  • Juniors, Seniors or recent graduates only 
    Comfortable with groups of 2-15 similar-sized dogs in a play setting
  • Strong understanding of canine safety and time management
  • Flexible schedule, with availability for some weekends and holidays
  • Enjoy an active, fast-paced environment, working independently and with a team, outdoors in all weather
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and kneel frequently; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation to Chatham, NY, or plans to relocate (housing available upon acceptance)
  • Previous experience with animals preferred, but a positive attitude and desire to learn matter just as much
  • Confidence in your abilities, knowledge, and passion for dogs
