Position Description: The Farm Loan Officer Trainee (which will be listed as Loan Assistant/Specialist - Agricultural in the job announcement) is hired as a full-time employee while completing a training program to become a Farm Loan Officer.

Qualifications: To enter the program in the lowest pay grade, this person must have a bachelor’s degree in fields such as finance, business administration, economics or banking (or related fields) OR have three years of progressively responsible general experience analyzing facts and figures or be able to show knowledge of the principles of financial analysis. An individual can be hired on at higher pay grade levels if he or she has achieved a bachelor’s degree or above and/or has specialized experience in the private sector dealing with financial analysis, agriculture loan-making, banking, et cetera.
