We’re Hiring: Community & Events Intern — Los Angeles

At WoafyPet, we’re a venture-backed pet tech startup with a community of 13,000+ pet lovers, and we’re now bringing that community together in real life.
We’re looking for a Community & Events Intern in Los Angeles to help us launch and grow our local senior dog community through unforgettable in-person experiences.
This isn’t a typical internship where you just follow instructions. You’ll have the opportunity to build something from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
- Own local events: Plan and execute two senior dog community events per month, from concept to execution.
- Build partnerships: Connect with dog-friendly cafés, pet stores, veterinarians, rescue organizations, and local businesses to co-host events.
- Grow our community: Recruit attendees, engage local dog owners, and turn one-time visitors into active community members.
- Create memorable experiences: Develop creative, social, and engaging activities that senior dogs and their owners genuinely enjoy.
- Support product experiences: Naturally integrate WoafyPet products into relevant event themes, helping owners discover products that improve their dogs’ lives.
- Capture content: Coordinate event photography, videos, testimonials, and social media content.
- Track results: Measure attendance, community growth, repeat participation, and product sales.
Who We’re Looking For
- Based in Los Angeles and available for in-person events, including occasional weekends.
- A current college student or recent graduate; relevant hands-on experience matters more than your major.
- Outgoing, proactive, organized, and comfortable approaching new people.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Interested in dogs, pet wellness, community building, or consumer brands.
- Able to independently coordinate people, venues, schedules, and event logistics.
- Comfortable creating content for Instagram, TikTok, or other social platforms.
- Resourceful and creative—you know how to make great things happen without a big budget.
Bonus: Experience organizing campus events, running student clubs, working with animal rescues, building communities, or creating social media content.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days, you’ll help us:
- Organize 4–6 high-quality community events.
- Establish relationships with local venues and pet care partners.
- Grow an engaged network of senior dog owners in Los Angeles.
- Create a repeatable event playbook we can bring to other cities.
