Business Development Specialist

As a Business Development Specialist, you will be introducing CEO's and CPA firms in various markets to alliantgroup. This is a highly visible role and works closely with our Sales Directors and other key executives across the organization. The ideal candidate will be part of a high-performance team, building and managing relationships with potential clients through current leads developed by alliantgroup, prospecting, networking, and building a referral pipeline.

 

This position is primarily a hunter role – opening doors for new business, later helping expanding relationships with our channel partners. The Business Development Specialist will be tasked with new outreach to untouched U.S. business owners, C-Suite contacts, and CPA firms to educate them on the incentives they are not taking advantage of. 

 

 Responsibilities

Create new business through organized lead qualification and prospecting to increase alliantgroup’s market penetration.

Understanding of a value-centric sales approach that allows you to establish highly profitable, strategic partnerships to gain new business through referral avenues.   

Identify and qualify prospects, create call plans and track progress in Salesforce.

Conduct daily outbound sales calls (cold and warm calling), schedule and hold sales appointments, obtain needed information to generate presentations and create value centric sales pitches.

 

Qualifications

4-year degree

1 year of professional sales experience excluding internships (Tax related industry experience not required)

Strong phone presence and experience dialing 50+ calls per day

Excellent presentation and written communication skills in a variety of consultative settings, including demonstrated experience with C-level executives or business owners

Dynamic personality with the ability to build amazing relationships

Unparalleled drive, resilience, and sense of urgency

A high performer that is driven by feedback and investment from leadership to grow personally, professionally and financially

Openness to travel 30-70% of the time (frequency varies depending on the time of the year and region).
