Data Analyst MPI

We are now hiring for a full-time Data Analyst to join our Metropolitan Peace Initiatives team!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with data entry, cleaning, and analysis of program data from a range of different organizations and service areas
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of instruments for program evaluation (e.g. participant surveys, workshop evaluations)
  • Prepare reports and presentations on program outputs/outcomes and trends in violence.
  • Make adjustments to fields and forms in the database as needed.
  • Ensure data in system is accurate, complete, and up to date
  • Build and strengthen relationships with external partners through providing technical assistance with data collection and reporting, and providing input around feasible and valuable performance measures.
  • Maintain systems and processes that protect the confidentiality of participants
  • Other duties as assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in public policy or social service or related field preferred. Bachelor's degree in public policy or social service or related field required.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant data analysis experience required. 
  • Experience working in violence prevention preferred.
  • Experience creating data visualizations and/or dashboards preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have access to a vehicle, valid driver's license and proof of insurance to perform essential job functions, required.
  • Employment with MFS requires proof of vaccination or an approved Medical exemption, required.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, process high volume of requests, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work discretely with and navigate conversations around sensitive and confidential data.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, preferred.
  • Experience working on program data collection and analysis.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Mobility is required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • MFS staff are required to provide proof of vaccination or have an approved Medical exemption prior to starting employment. If an approved Medical is obtained, weekly testing is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.

SALARY:

Compensation is commensurate with years of related experience, position requirements, and candidate qualifications. The average salary for the position is $60,400.
