Sales Representative

Position Summary

We are seeking a Sales Representative who is passionate about sales, wants a challenge and has a strong work ethic. This is a territory based, outside sales role that has around 25% travel and an opportunity for a hybrid schedule. The ideal individual will play a pivotal role on our sales team, responsible for driving revenue and market expansion within the designated territory. This position develops, maintains, and interacts with a defined market to achieve sales and increase profitability through a consultative sales process. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships is critical. Success in this role will lead to a competitive compensation package and an exciting work environment.

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle for their assigned market(s), including, but not limited to, prospecting new customers, developing existing relationships, closing sales and processing orders as needed.
  • Develop and execute sales strategy for their assigned market to meet company defined sales goals.
  • Utilize marketing materials, corporate website, demos, and quotations to enhance the sales process.
  • Recommend pricing strategies to the company.
  • Partner with engineering department when necessary to aid in the development of new products or modification of existing products based on customer needs.
  • Partner with marketing department, as necessary, to develop and strengthen marketing materials for sales opportunities.
  • Document sales activity in customer relationship management tool.
  • Utilize inside sales and sales support specialists to facilitate the sales cycle.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; secondary education preferred.
  • 3 years of successful sales and territory management, with a demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in transit sales preferred.
  • Exposure to consultative sales, spin spelling and/or Sandler selling methodologies preferred.
  • Consumer electronics and/or software experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel within territory.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record, which will be checked.
