Central Operations Representative I, II, or III, Colorado Springs

  • Employee Type: Non-Exempt (Full-Time)
  • Hiring Pay Ranges: $17.50 - $22.63 Per Hour
    • Customer Care Center Representative I – $17.50 - $19.25 per hour
    • Customer Care Center Representative II – $18.00 - $20.50 per hour
    • Customer Care Center Representative III – $19.25 - $22.63 per hour
      • The hiring pay range for this position is commensurate with the level of relevant experience and education.

Summary 

  • Provide support to all bank operations personnel and customers as it relates to operational functions.  Ensure the integrity of the bank regarding system input and proper procedures in the adequacy of deposit documentation. Lend support to bank personnel as it relates to deposit functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Maintains a current knowledge and consistent compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, as well as knowledge and consistent compliance with other banking regulations and Bank policies and procedures related to the position.
  • Maintains confidentiality as defined by department standards.
  • Supports the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to customer requests.
  • Process a variety of mail requests and complete maintenance as required.
  • Process Non-post and Return Deposited Items.
  • Receives, records and processes all legal requests related to deposit accounts to include but not limited to garnishments, levies and subpoenas, to include research, response and record maintenance.
  • Perform backroom functions necessary to ensure the ongoing integrity of the deposit system.
  • Review and maintain central file of completed Hold Notices to ensure ongoing compliance with Reg. CC.
  • Review and input foreign check collection items on a daily basis through outside vendor.
  • Maintain tracking log of teller differences and prepare monthly Branch difference reports.
  • Perform detailed verification of daily system maintenance reports
  • Perform ongoing review of system exception reports.
  • Perform backroom functions necessary to ensure the ongoing integrity of the deposit system.
  • Maintain/Deliver quality of service as defined by department standards.
  • Assist in training new employees and assist co-workers with Central Operations duties.
  • Have cross-trained in a variety of specialized functions within the financial institution.
  • Have solid understanding of all responsibilities and work flow of the department and is able to achieve set standards within the department.
  • Write and review procedures for the department as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Central Operations Representative I

  • Performs most, if not all, of the above duties with regular direction and supervision.
  • Follows procedures and completes tasks assigned with regular

 Central Operations Representative II

  • Performs the duties above with occasional direction and supervision.
  • Follows procedures and completes tasks assigned with occasional prompt.
  • Occasionally suggests opportunities to reduce errors or improve processes.
  • Occasionally assists with other duties (i.e. training, escalations, completing quality control reviews, helping teammates, drafting and/or editing procedures or communications, projects, etc.).

 Central Operations Representative III

  • Performs the duties above with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Follows procedures and completes tasks assigned with minimal prompt.
  • Leads by example and encourages others by demonstrating exemplary behaviors.
  • Regularly suggests opportunities to reduce errors or improve processes.
  • Regularly assists with other duties (i.e. training, escalations, completing quality control reviews, helping teammates, drafting and/or editing procedures or communications, projects and/or leading smaller projects, etc.).

Education and/or Experience 

 Central Operations Representative I

  • No experience required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Central Operations Representative II

  • One year of financial industry and/or customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of other work history and/or education.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Understanding of banking products, services, forms, and regulations preferred.

Central Operations Representative III

  • Two years of financial industry and/or customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of other work history and/or education.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Intermediate experience (i.e. 2+ years) with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Intermediate understanding of banking products, services, forms, and regulations preferred.
