Role Overview:

The Lease Administrator offers an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate eager to learn about industrial real estate. In this role, you will support the Asset Management Team by handling a variety of tasks, such as communicating with tenants, tax consultants, and districts, coordinating invoices with the Accounting Team, and assisting with the creation of property business plans and lease abstracts. You will receive training in real estate concepts during the onboarding process, with continued development through hands-on experience in day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Asset Management Team to integrate newly acquired properties into the AIC Industrial portfolio
  • Ensure lease compliance by processing leases, amendments, escalation clauses, rent increases, and other lease modifications
  • Monitor and report on escrows for taxes, insurance, repairs, and rollovers
  • Maintain property tax schedules and files, coordinate tax payments with lenders, tenants, or landlords
  • Participate in annual budgeting process by preparing property budgets, forecasts, and reconciliations
  • Coordinate insurance payments with tenants and/or landlords as required
  • Provide accurate and timely information to internal departments
  • Assist in coordinating projects with asset managers and third-party vendors
  • Assist in asset sales and portfolio financing initiatives
  • Support CAM reconciliation process when applicable
  • Maintain organized electronic files for lease and financial documents
  • Conduct special projects and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or a related field preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning and professional development
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software or property management platforms is a plus
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
